Fast Reactor has many advantages over other retarders. The hydraulic retarder is a vehicle-assisted braking device that converts the kinetic energy of the vehicle during retard braking to the thermal energy of the working fluid and uses engine coolant circulation to dissipate the heat to achieve vehicle retardation and deceleration. The hydraulic retarder can handle more than 70% of the vehicle's service brakes. It is small in size, light in weight, high in braking torque, stable in impact without braking, no thermal recession, and can be continuously braked for a long time with high power. Dynamic power up to 300kW, instantaneous braking power up to 600kW or more, is an indispensable auxiliary brake artifact for service brakes, especially for long slope downhill conditions.
