Liaoyang Petrochemical Company's refined terephthalic acid (PTA) plant was expanded from 270,000 tons per year to 800,000 tons per year. The project has been completed recently. The current installation has been safely and steadily operating for 40 days, producing a high quality PTA of 51,700 tons. After the industrial waste water is purified twice, the COD value of the effluent is much lower than the design index, and the exhaust emission reaches the Euro III standard, achieving “zero emissionâ€.
