Michelin double money to create a joint company to sell passenger cars and light truck tires

September 7, 2011, the French company Michelin announced the signing of a final agreement on creating a joint company in China with the Chinese Double Coin and Shanghai Huayi Group.

The company is mainly responsible for tire production and sales in the Chinese market. It mainly sells back Lifan and light truck tires. Michelin holds 40% of the shares, and Chinese companies collectively hold 60% of the shares. The tire factory has started construction in Anhui Wuwei County. Once the factory is completed, the annual number will be as high as 15 million yuan, and project revenue is expected to be 3.5 billion yuan.
