Shell is expected to become the world's largest LNG supplier

According to a report by Reuters on August 10, 2015, Royal Dutch Shell Petroleum Group is considering investing billions of dollars in Brazil to acquire related oil and gas assets. Shell is currently preparing to sell large amounts of assets to raise funds for the acquisition of British Natural Gas Group (BG) for US$70 billion.

Shell is expected to become the world's largest LNG supplier

If the acquisition of British Natural Gas Group is successful, Shell will become the world's largest supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Shell has previously announced that it plans to sell approximately $30 billion of assets between 2016 and 2018 to strengthen its balance sheet and focus on the core deep-sea oil and LNG businesses.
