The first coal-bed methane power generation project in Shaanxi Province was recently completed at the Xiashijie Coal Mine of the Tongchuan Mining Bureau and has now been transferred to the trial operation stage.
It is understood that the project has jointly invested more than RMB 14 million by Tongchuan Mining Bureau and Zhanhua Company of Shengli Oilfield and plans to build a new 6×500kW generator set. The raw material is coalbed methane emitted from Xiashijie Coal Mine, which is a waste gas utilization green project last year. Construction started in April. The person in charge of the Power Department of Tongchuan Mining Bureau told the reporter that the amount of electricity generated by this project was all used for coal mine production, which could save operating costs by 3.8 million yuan annually.
