However, the project “Vacuum Pipeline Transportation” currently being developed by the “ET3” transportation technology research and development company in Colorado, USA, is showing people a new concept of traffic and time.

According to the designer’s assumptions, the engineering staff will build a fixed vacuum pipeline that acts like a railroad track on the ground and places a “capsule” cockpit in the pipeline. This "capsule" cockpit is similar in shape to a capsule, weighing 183 kilograms, is lighter than a car, and is about 4.87 meters long. It can accommodate 4 to 6 passengers. These "capsules" will be placed in a vacuum line, and the ejection device will act like a shell to launch the cockpit and proceed to the destination without interruption. Due to the space vacuum and no friction, the "capsule" car can run at a speed of up to 6,500 kilometers per hour. Powered by magnetic levitation technology, it is a transportation method that reduces air friction resistance to zero. New technologies are safer and quieter than trains and airplanes. Due to the unique cockpit design, despite the high operating speed, passengers can experience little acceleration and will not affect the ride experience. Designers said that the "vacuum pipeline transportation" technology is more environmentally friendly. This mode of transportation consumes less energy than any other traditional transportation means. The transport volume per kilowatt-hour is 50 times that of the train.

If the R&D is successful, 2 hours, this may be the operating time of the new high-speed railway between these two cities in the future.
